This site has been created as a home for resources and discussion on the topic of Epistemic Fluency. In particular, it offers a place to develop and critique ideas presented in our book Epistemic Fluency and Professional Education: Innovation, knowledgeable action and actionable knowledge.
The book is an extended analysis of epistemic fluency – what it is; how it functions; how people learn to work more fluently with knowledge – and of its relations with professional work and workplace innovation.
A brief definition: Epistemic fluency is the capacity to understand, switch between and combine different kinds of knowledge and different ways of knowing about the world
